Tank Fittings & Controls
Little Giant Fittings Company manufactures a complete line of tank inlet & outlet fittings, floats, and leverworks for oilfield & commercial applications.
Little Giant can also provide assistance in the design & sizing of the components to match the requirements of each installation.
Fittings are available in PVC for low – pressure installations that have limited turbulence from trapped pipeline gases, and in filament -wound fiberglass for high - volume installations or where pipeline gases cause excessive tank turbulence.
Inlet nipple attaches to tank bulkhead with either a flanged or threaded connection. Trapped pipeline gases that are carried with the fluids are dispersed through the smaller
perforations, virtually eliminating tank turbulence or boiling.
Holes in perforated spreader are to be installed facing back of tank maximize settling time. Perforated spreader nipples are available in either PVC or filament – wound fiberglass. Standard length of each spreader nipple is 6’ 6’’. Other lengths available on request. Support nipples are made of filament – wound fiberglass. Cradle – type nipples are used on FRP spreaders only; through- -hole design for PVC spreaders to minimize the buoyancy of PVC should gas be present. Three support nipples are required for standard length installation.

Outlet is designed to minimize or eliminate oil, solids, or other debris from
exiting the tank.
Used in conjunction with a float or pressure switch for fluid level control. Outlet boot cap is available as a flat cap (standard), or as a gasketed slip cap with integral vents. Support nipple , internal nipple, and perforated outlet boot are constructed of PVC.
Filament -wound fiberglass is available on request.
Outlet ELL is constructed of filament – wound fiberglass and is available in the following sizes: To Order: Specify size, end connection, and material (PVC or FRP) of outlet nipple, outlet pipe connection, outlet boot diameter and total (combined) height, size of outlet ell, and length of internal nipple.
Float is constructed of filament- wound fiberglass for superior durability & service life. Support stand and float arm are made of epoxy – coated 1/2" steel. 1/2" pipes supplied for connecting lever works to butterfly valve handle.
